Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026 took place from July 31 to August 2, 2026, at the Vietnam Exposition Center (VEC) in Hanoi, as part of Vietnam Exhibition and Event Week 2026 (VEEW). The program brought together designers, fashion brands, models, beauty professionals, businesses and training institutions from Vietnam and other countries. The three programs—All Stars, Junior and Student—were held within the same framework, creating opportunities for runway presentations, exchanges and networking across the fashion industry throughout the event.
Within the runway program of GFW All Stars 2026, BENT X ALICIO presented “My Journey”, a collection centered on the creator’s personal story and journey in pursuing fashion. Through its designs and presentation, the collection focuses on the challenges encountered while building a career and the determination to keep moving forward.
Every journey begins from challenges
“My Journey” was developed from the creator’s personal experiences when entering the fashion industry. Before having the opportunity to appear on major runways, the journey involved periods of self-doubt, rejection and numerous obstacles along the way. These experiences became the foundation for BENT X ALICIO to develop the collection’s “From Zero to Hero” message.
This spirit is reflected through the image of a strong, confident woman who is ready to face the challenges ahead. The designs feature numerous surface details as focal points, combining contrasting color blocks with various fabric treatment techniques. Rather than focusing on a specific image of success, “My Journey” emphasizes the gradual process through which each individual builds their own position.
The collection’s story is therefore framed around the relationship between one’s starting point and the journey ahead. “From Zero to Hero” serves as the thread connecting the designs, from more restrained details to bolder focal points throughout the garments. This approach transforms the creator’s personal story into a narrative that runs consistently across the collection.
Inspirations from Malaysian culture and materials
One of the most notable aspects of “My Journey” is its use of materials. Satin silk, French lace and organza create layers with varying degrees of sheen, transparency and drape. Swarovski crystals and gold-toned details are used as accents throughout the garments, while also enhancing their visual impact under the stage lights.
In addition to its material selection, BENT X ALICIO incorporates inspiration from Roti Jala into the collection. Roti Jala is a traditional Malaysian dish characterized by its distinctive interwoven, lacy pattern. Drawing from this feature, the inspiration is translated into fashion through lines, textures and decorative details rather than directly replicating the appearance of the dish.
This approach allows the cultural element to coexist naturally with the designs while maintaining the structure of a runway collection. Black and gold – A prominent trace on the runway
Black and gold are the two dominant colors throughout “My Journey.” Black serves as the foundation for many of the designs, highlighting the silhouettes and decorative details of the garments. The contrast between the two colors also reflects the collection’s “From Zero to Hero” spirit.
