On August 22, 2026, Thailand International Fashion Week 2026 (TIFW 2026) officially took place at Baiyoke Sky Hotel in Bangkok. The event brought together designers, models, industry professionals, and representatives from media organizations from numerous countries.
High-caliber opening with profound native impressions
The program was produced under the direct direction of Dr. Chirawan Lewis and TIFW Production. The event aimed to create a professional platform for networking and exchange within the fashion industry, while also supporting young talents in gaining access to the international working environment. Ahead of the official runway shows, the red carpet area featured numerous filming activities and television interviews, alongside the presence of distinguished guests and delegations.
The opening ceremony made a strong impression with a traditional Thai artistic performance and a Muay Thai showcase by fighter Govan. This was followed by a contemporary artistic performance by Juli & Nico, bringing a youthful atmosphere to the venue before the main fashion presentations began.
The program was hosted by Fongbeercia Sasithorn Satimai and Keatbuncha Ketsuwan. The ceremony also welcomed M.L. Panwad Sukhsawat, who delivered the opening remarks, marking the official launch of the event’s series of fashion activities.
A busy runway for both presentations and discussions
The highlight of the event was the runway, featuring 17 collections and special presentations. The participating brands and designers included Eanian478, Chantacha Saewang, Dipti Chandra, Chompooh.000, Celeb Kidz, Raison d’Être, Méthode Cachée, TIFW Swimwear, Rainbow Thailand – Designer Pla, along with Vietnamese-origin representatives Nguyen Minh Truc, Tran Huynh Ngan Ha, Phan Xuan Giau, Huynh Ly Thien Nhi, and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh Linh.
Each collection was presented with its own distinctive sound, lighting, and performance style. The designs clearly reflected the individual aesthetic language, practicality, and creative concepts of each participating fashion house.
In addition to the runway presentations, the organizers also arranged special talk sessions, including Talk with Dr Kanthicha and Talk with Lord Marcuss. These sessions provided attendees with an opportunity to hear practical perspectives, professional insights, and discussions on the evolving dynamics of the modern fashion industry.
International cooperation opportunities and new grounds for succeeding generations
TIFW 2026 welcomed the attendance of M.L. Panwad Sukhsawat, along with representatives associated with the Government of India and Dubai. The presence of international guests contributed to promoting cultural and economic exchange between Thailand and regional partners. In addition, Dr. Kanthicha Chimsiri (Yui) also took part as a runway model.
Speaking about the event’s vision, Dr. Chirawan Lewis said: “Our goal is to build Thailand International Fashion Week into a platform that connects culture and commerce while creating real-world international opportunities for young designers and models.”
To turn this vision into reality, the project launched the “Thai Youth Go Inter” initiative, led by Rainbow Modelling, in combination with training activities by TIFW Academy. Young participants were given the opportunity to become directly involved in the runway production process, gaining hands-on work experience alongside international industry professionals.
Seamless backstage operations and grand closing
Behind the runway presentations was a coordinated team led by stage director Eakachai Selim, with the coordination team overseen by Ms. Areerat Jamikorn, alongside the hair and makeup teams from Rosy Buddha Academy and Coolcut Barber. The event also received support and resources from partners Sheikh Ayash Group of Companies, Zaap Factory, and Summit Core.
The entire technical team responsible for sound, lighting, LED screens, and model coordination worked continuously to ensure that each segment was carried out according to the planned schedule and production script.
The evening concluded with a Grand Finale presented by Rainbow Thailand, bringing all models and designers back onto the runway for a final appearance before the audience. A group photo featuring all delegates, partners, and key production teams officially brought TIFW 2026 in Bangkok to a close.
