Roee: Mystical textile techniques resurrected at Vienna Fashion Week 2026

Must Read

The evening runway at Halle E + G on September 18 was infused with a captivating futuristic atmosphere through the latest collection by the Roee brand. The fashion house made a strong impression on observers with its mesmerizing 3D prism-print patterns, relaxed oversized suiting structures, and headscarf and sunglasses accessories imbued with a distinctly science-fiction aesthetic.

A gloomy entrance to the evening slots

At precisely 8:00 PM on September 18, the showcase space at the MuseumsQuartier complex shifted into a distinct visual dimension with Roee’s debut. Following Fröhlich’s sustainable presentation, the show delivered a dramatic transition from classic beauty to a sharper, contemporary avant-garde aesthetic.

The venue drew a large audience that included influential style figures, visual-art specialists and devotees of experimental street fashion. Roee continued to assert its distinctive creative philosophy by challenging conventional boundaries of gender in clothing, emphasizing the enveloping relationship between garment and body while celebrating an aura of mystery and self-possession.

The Roee name appeared in a stylized rounded white typeface, glowing against the white backdrop at the end of the runway. A mystical blue-violet lighting system bathed the catwalk, amplifying the cold edge of oversized black sunglasses, the lustrous sheen of fine silk, and the dense, tactile weave of fibrous knitwear.

Optical illusions reimagined through a creative lens

The collection’s most striking visual signature lay in its jumpsuits and long dresses covered in abstract patterns inspired by gemstone cross-sections and fractured prisms. The interplay of emerald green, smoky gray, deep blue, and silvery white created an optical illusion that appeared to shift continuously with every step of the models.

A loose-fitting silk jumpsuit with a relaxed hood was paired seamlessly with angular black sunglasses and pointed-toe heels, evoking the image of glamorous space travelers. The material’s natural drape concealed restrictive contours, fully freeing the body’s movement.

In addition, a long straight-cut boat-neck dress with long sleeves and a crystal-inspired pattern further demonstrated the brand’s precise pattern-cutting craftsmanship. A slender drawstring at the waist allowed for flexible transformation between a relaxed, flowing silhouette and a more defined, waist-cinching structure, highlighting a sense of contemporary femininity.

Intricate asymmetrical attire and headwear designs

Roee fully explored monochromatic tailoring through an oversized light-beige double-breasted suit. The groundbreaking highlight lay in its pairing with a long-hemmed white shirt and a silk scarf wrapped fully around the head and neck, inspired by desert protective attire, while oversized black-framed sunglasses completed an aesthetic that was both classic and futuristic.

The unconventional spirit continued through a sleeveless navy-black jumpsuit featuring a deep V-neckline trimmed with glossy silk chiffon. The model strode confidently with an edgy feather-embellished choker around the neck, deep side welt pockets, and slender pointed heels, creating a powerful, cool-toned appearance.

The fashion house also introduced long black felted wool coats featuring oversized, raised collars that enveloped the nape, paired with cowl-neck black dresses and edgy lace-up leather boots. The menswear segment also drew attention with black knitted sweaters embellished with strips of shaggy, frayed fabric, paired with cargo-pocket shorts and chunky leather boots.

A harmonious collaboration to end the night

The show concluded amid enthusiastic applause as the two designer-founders of Roee stepped onto the runway hand in hand to greet the audience. The pair appeared in contrasting yet harmonious everyday looks: one wore a black tank top, loose cropped trousers, and a distinctive fedora, while the other exuded elegance in an unbuttoned white shirt paired with tailored trousers and a light-beige beret.

The two designers’ radiant smiles and friendly waves were met with enthusiastic applause from the entire audience at Halle E + G. Industry professionals praised Roee’s steadfast commitment to an experimental design language, offering a fashion experience with profound visual and sculptural depth.

Roee’s 8:00 p.m. appearance on September 18 contributed to one of the most striking highlights of Vienna Fashion Week 2026. The event further affirmed the fashion house’s pioneering position in shaping wearable avant-garde fashion trends in Central Europe.
