Nguyen Hai Van Anh: Economics student filling in a vacancy for GFW All Stars 2026

Must Read

Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026 has officially announced Nguyen Hai Van Anh as its Student Model Ambassador in Vietnam. At the age of 22, beyond the radiant image of a brand representative, Van Anh stands out for her proactive mindset, confident demeanor, and practical perspective on balancing artistic pursuits with professional responsibilities.

Impressive background of technology management

After graduating with a degree in International Economics from the Foreign Trade University, Nguyen Hai Van Anh chose to pursue a career in the field of information technology. At just 22 years old, she currently serves as a Business Analysis Lead, overseeing three major projects, including the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for manufacturing companies and an e-voucher platform for the banking sector. Prior to taking on this managerial role, she worked in Technology Risk Consulting at one of the world’s Big Four professional services firms, where she participated in assessing technology systems for both regional and international financial institutions.

Alongside her professional career, Van Anh has maintained an impressive record in academic research, earning a Second Prize at the university level and securing Top 15 placements in entrepreneurship competitions such as I-Startup and Weekathon Kawai. Early exposure to project management environments enabled her to develop a data-driven and analytical approach to work. She has also successfully applied her experience in team coordination and risk management from the technology sector to her preparation for student ambassador roles and the various community initiatives she has participated in over the years.

Balancing passion with personal well-being

Alongside her achievements in economics and technology, Van Anh has also earned recognition in several artistic pursuits. She was awarded First Runner-up in the Fusion Solo category at the Vietnam Belly Dance Star 2025 competition, earned the title of Second Runner-up in the Northern Region of the Miss Vietnam Student pageant, and has spent many years performing as a member of a violin club. Faced with the demands of pursuing both professional and artistic ambitions, the young manager admits that she has experienced periods of burnout while attempting to distribute her time and energy equally across all of her goals.

To address this challenge, she adopted a focus management approach rather than simply dividing her time. By identifying priorities for each stage of her life and dedicating her full attention to the tasks at hand, she has been able to maximize both her professional performance and artistic development. In her view, balance is not a fixed state but rather the ability to recognize one’s personal limits and make practical adjustments accordingly. As she puts it, “True confidence is built upon countless hours of dedicated practice before stepping onto the stage, rather than relying on external factors.”

New perspective toward international opportunities

Van Anh’s journey into the world of fashion began with her participation in the Miss Vietnam Student 2023 competition. The experience marked an important milestone, allowing her to become familiar with professional catwalk techniques while gaining a deeper appreciation for fashion as a form of visual storytelling. As she takes on the role of Student Model Ambassador at Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026, Van Anh views the position not merely as an honor, but as a responsibility. To her, it represents an opportunity to speak on behalf of a generation of young people who strive to balance their academic pursuits while actively seeking opportunities to participate in major national and international platforms.

According to Van Anh, the qualities that enable young people to confidently step onto larger stages are thorough preparation, perseverance, and the willingness to learn from repeated experiences. She believes that when individuals maintain initiative and a clear, structured mindset, they are better equipped to adapt to new environments and express their authentic identities without being overwhelmed by the scale of an event.

Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026: A vibrant season with emerging youths

The year 2026 marks a new chapter for Global Fashion Week All Stars following its evolution from Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week, which was first established in 2018. Originally created as a platform for child models, the event has since expanded into an international fashion week featuring three interconnected communities—All Stars, Junior, and Student—with the goal of strengthening connections across the fields of fashion, art, and creativity.

Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026 will take place from July 30 to August 2, 2026, at the Vietnam Exposition Center (VEC) in Hanoi as part of Vietnam Event & Exhibition Week 2026. According to the organizers, the event is expected to bring together more than 30 brands, designers, and performance units from Vietnam and abroad, alongside beauty queens, kings, models, and distinguished guests from the cultural, artistic, and entertainment industries.

By participating in Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026, Van Anh hopes to gain deeper insight into the organization and management of an international-standard fashion week while expanding her network with peers from around the world. As a Student Model Ambassador, she represents a generation of young Vietnamese who are willing to challenge themselves, step beyond their comfort zones, and pursue opportunities on the global stage—standing alongside the world’s leading nations with confidence and ambition.
