On the evening of September 11 in Hanoi, the Greenlife Legacy 2025 art event officially opened with Chapter I: EARTH – the root of life, marking the beginning of the overarching concept “Four Elements, Sustainable Green Legacy.” Taking on the honor of opening the show, Italian brand Bulbs&Roots collaborated with hair artist Dong Tran, founder of Guy Hair Studio, to present a collection of five “Earth” hairstyles, rich in technique, inspiration, and symbolic meaning.
The opening look impressed with long, side-parted hair styled in soft S-shaped waves. The front strands were braided into fine lines hugging the scalp, evoking the natural patterns of soil. Shades of chocolate brown with coffee highlights gave the hair depth and warmth—both theatrical and approachable—capturing the “Earth” spirit of rustic vitality.
For the second look, hair artist Dong Tran chose a honey-gold tone, infused with soft golden light reminiscent of underground minerals. The cut framed the face, enhancing harmony and movement with each step. Subtly treated ends added lightness and freshness. This look symbolized the abundance of earth as the keeper of precious energy.
The third look stood out with an ash-blonde base infused with pearly hues. Styled in a high bun with a middle part and two fine strands left to fall naturally on either side, it balanced neatness with freedom. Under the lights, the hair sparkled like quartz crystals—symbols of purity and endurance. It showcased Dong Tran’s refined control over color and his contemporary aesthetic sensibility.
Inspired by resilient layers of stone, the fourth look embraced smoky gray with silver accents. Half of the hair was neatly tied up while the rest flowed straight, creating a striking contrast. A subtle accessory hinted at geological strata. Here, Dong Tran wove in Bulbs&Roots’ vegan ethos, using the silver-gray palette to suggest raw purity—nature’s quiet but enduring presence. The hairstyle was both an artistic statement and a philosophical reminder that earth is the foundation upon which life is built.
Closing the collection, Dong Tran presented an asymmetrical bob in a warm chestnut brown, reminiscent of Mother Earth. Center-parted and softly curled to frame the face, the style radiated gentle elegance. Lighter accents along the edges brightened the features while evoking young sprouts rising from the soil. This final look blended artistry with wearability, embodying a creative spirit deeply connected to everyday life.

With more than 10 years of experience, he is especially recognized as a color expert, frequently conducting dyeing technique workshops for salons across the country.
Now serving as the technical ambassador for Bulbs&Roots, Dong Tran shares that he has found a natural harmony between the brand’s vegan, nature-driven philosophy and his own professional direction. The “Earth” collection is his affirmation of that spirit: true sustainable beauty must be rooted in nature, community responsibility, and professional integrity.
