As the exclusive makeup team at Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026, Magister Creative demonstrated the professionalism of a well-coordinated team through a disciplined backstage process. Faced with a tight schedule involving dozens of models, the team maintained consistent quality across every look. Their composure and strong teamwork backstage helped deliver the polished appearances essential to the show.
A training-oriented ecosystem emerging from reality runways
Founded by Master Wendy Nguyen and a team of young professionals, the collective comprising Magister Creative, Magister Makeup Academy, and T-Professional Makeup Academy was established to bridge formal education with the professional performance environment. It provides makeup artists with a place to hone their skills, gain hands-on experience, work directly backstage, and gradually enter the large-scale performance market.

Within this model, T-Professional Makeup Academy and Magister Makeup Academy are responsible for building technical foundations and shaping professional mindsets. At the same time, Magister Creative oversees creative development, production, and team coordination for major artistic programs. This combination offers a clear advantage: students not only master technical skills but also gain first-hand experience with the pace and demands of a professional team on site. “Professionals who want to build a long-term career need to combine technical skills, aesthetic thinking, the ability to stay true to a concept, and a strong sense of teamwork,” Master Wendy Nguyen shared.

Through its strategy of closely connecting education with professional work, Magister has continuously partnered with a wide range of prestigious stages and events, including Bangkok Kids International Fashion Week 2022, Miss Tourism Worldwide 2022, Thailand International Fashion Week, Taipei International Fashion Week, Stella Fashion Week 2023, Vietnam Future Runway, Tinh hoa Co Do, Ky hoa Que Huong, Ruc ro Phuong Dong, Vietnam Equestrian Odyssey, 9Fashionshow – Dau an Viet Nam, The Queen Day, and more.
Exquisite layout mindset and approach to backstage work
According to Master Wendy Nguyen, the key difference between fashion makeup and conventional beauty makeup lies in their purpose. Beauty makeup focuses on enhancing the harmonious features of each individual face, while fashion makeup must answer the question: what does each stroke contribute to the story of the collection? Every sharp graphic line and every lightweight, light-reflecting base must be carefully considered in relation to the stage lighting, fabric textures, photographers’ camera angles, and the models’ movements.

Beyond creativity, the ability to organize backstage operations is the decisive measure of professionalism. A fashion show may involve dozens of models, with time pressure measured in minutes, requiring precise coordination throughout the process. The role of Makeup Director demands the ability to lead the entire team in delivering consistent results, from receiving the brief, analyzing the concept, and testing products to organizing work areas and checking the quality of every look before the models step onto the runway. Teamwork, composure, and the ability to respond flexibly to changes in schedules, outfits, or lighting allow the entire team to maintain consistent quality throughout the event.
Resounding impressions at Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026
As the exclusive makeup unit at Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026, Magister Creative and T-Professional Makeup Academy were responsible for developing and executing the complete makeup looks for the show’s models. At a large-scale event featuring numerous designers, the team’s capabilities were demonstrated through meticulous preparation and its ability to maintain consistent quality across the runway.

Every face that appeared on stage reflected the spirit of its respective collection, thanks to seamless coordination backstage. This was both an opportunity to demonstrate professional expertise and a real-world environment in which the team could test its backstage operations against high professional standards.

Following the GFWAS 2026 milestone, Magister’s long-term goal is to build a team of highly skilled Vietnamese makeup artists with the confidence and experience to work at international fashion weeks. The organization aims to present a well-structured team with standardized processes, capable of confidently integrating into professional performance environments across different countries. Alongside its performance projects, the Magister ecosystem continues to invest heavily in training. Providing young talents with systematic education, hands-on experience, and early exposure to the backstage environments of major events will lay the foundation for a new generation of highly capable makeup professionals in Vietnam’s fashion industry.
