International competing standards showing up for the first time in Vietnam through Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025

Must Read

Vinpearl Horse Academy Vu Yen (Hai Phong) just became the center of attention for the equestrian community upon holding the first season of Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025. This is a professional equestrian tournament with a grand caliber, gathering over 100 equestrians with outstanding stallions from renowned clubs nationwide. The event not only marks a new milestone for Vietnamese equestrian sports but also ushers in a new era of international integration for the nation’s equestrian industry.

A vibrant atmosphere with eye-catching competitions on the track

From the very first moments, the atmosphere at Vinhomes Royal Island erupted as the athletes and their valiant steeds charged into action. The international-standard racetrack became the focal point of thousands of captivated eyes, with every movement, every powerful gallop holding spectators breathless before their emotions finally burst into excitement.

“I’ve never seen an equestrian competition this professional and thrilling. The performances were truly spectacular — it felt as though I was right in the midst of a world-class sporting festival,” shared Hai Anh, a member of a horse-riding club in Hanoi.

The obstacle-jumping, individual, and team technical events unfolded in rapid succession, continuously pushing the excitement to its peak. Each athlete demonstrated unwavering determination, intense focus, and masterful horsemanship, coming together to create a vibrant and exhilarating scene—one rarely seen in a professional equestrian competition in Vietnam.

Notably, the biggest highlight of this year’s season was the first-ever international-standard Show Jumping event held on a Vietnamese course. The energy at the racetrack intensified as riders and their powerful steeds confidently tackled towering obstacles. Each round kept the entire grandstand on edge before erupting into applause at the stunning jumps—moments where horse and rider seemed to “fly” together over every challenge. It marked the beginning of a new benchmark for Vietnam’s equestrian sports.

Alongside the caliber of the athletes was the presence of a distinguished international judging panel, featuring seasoned referees from the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). Under their strict supervision, every event adhered to the Federation’s standards, ensuring fairness, transparency, and the highest level of professionalism. This international spirit, paired with rigorous and impartial evaluation, allowed young Vietnamese athletes to gain deeper exposure to elite equestrian techniques while elevating the tournament’s reputation within the professional community.

Beyond the racetrack, the entire support zone—from the course and horse-care areas to athlete and spectator facilities—was comprehensively invested in, delivering an exceptional experience and laying the foundation for larger-scale competitions in the future. The participation of young riders and first-time female competitors also brought fresh energy, igniting optimism for the future development of equestrian sports in Vietnam.

Affirming a new position, opening up an outward era for Vietnamese equestrian sports

Not only stopping at the exhilarating moments on the field, the Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025 also affirms its pioneering role by helping build a professional, internationally aligned arena for equestrian clubs in Vietnam. Bringing together hundreds of amateur and professional athletes and being organized to international standards, the tournament has laid strong foundations for the sustainable growth of the country’s horse-loving community.

Vinpearl Horse Academy Vu Yen—the organizing unit of the tournament—continues to affirm its position as Vietnam’s leading center for equestrian training and development. It consistently expands its network of partnerships, offers comprehensive training programs, and creates opportunities for exchange and learning between Vietnamese athletes and their international peers. Community activities, children’s riding experiences, and interactions with foreign coaches all contribute to spreading the spirit of this noble sport and fostering the growth of an increasingly vibrant horse-loving community.

The Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025 concluded with many unforgettable moments, yet the value it leaves behind extends far beyond a mere competition. The event laid a solid foundation for building a professional playground, enabling equestrian clubs to directly access global standards in organization and performance. As a result, Vietnam’s equestrian community is steadily integrating into the global arena, contributing to the strong development of the nation’s equestrian sports and asserting a new position on the regional and international sports map.

The success of the Vinpearl Equestrian Cup 2025 stands as proof of the far-reaching potential of Vietnam’s equestrian industry. It also reaffirms the long-term vision and sustainable development strategy of Vinpearl Horse Academy, helping usher in a new era of modernity, professionalism, and global integration for Vietnamese equestrian sports.

The Vinpearl Horse Academy Vu Yen, located on Vinhomes Royal Island, Hai Phong, officially began operations on June 1, 2024. In just over a year, the Academy has grown from 40 to more than 100 horses, bringing together 17 exceptional breeds from various countries. From European Warmblood sport lines for dressage and show jumping, to purebred and crossbred speed horses, friendly small breeds for foundational training, and versatile breeds for performances and experiential riding—together, they form a comprehensive, internationally aligned training ecosystem.

The Academy has also made its mark by successfully hosting Vietnam’s first specialized equine seminar, earning high praise from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Australian Embassy, and numerous international experts for its facilities, horse welfare standards, and operational excellence.

Entering 2026, the Vinpearl Horse Academy Vu Yen aims to rise as Southeast Asia’s leading equestrian training center—a hub of world-class education, refined riding experiences, and a thriving noble-sport community. It also strives to become a home to elite global horse breeds, with a steadfast commitment to animal welfare and biodiversity conservation.
